2011 Iditarod - Mitch Seavey back from surgery
2011 Iditarod News, March 13 - I'm so glad to hear that Mitch Seavey has had successful surgery on his hand/finger. I read several references to Mr. Seavey in a story on the Anchorage Daily News website, including this comment:
Seavey, his finger saved by a surgeon after severely cutting it earlier in the race ...
It's amazing to me that he had this surgery and then immediately went back on the Iditarod trail. I'm trying to find the story where I read it, but I thought I read he was now working as a commentator. Of course he is probably also there to root for his son, Dallas Seavey, who is currently in 9th place in the 2011 Iditarod race.
Here's a link to the adn.com story where I read about Mr. Seavey.
