Over 150 Mat-Su dogs rescued and need help

January 12, 2011

I'll skip all the details for now -- you can read them in the link below -- but the important thing is that over 150 malnourished Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes have been rescued from a negligent breeder in the Mat-Su Valley here in Alaska, and these dogs could really use your help. This includes thirty potentially very cute, furry, cuddly little puppies.

All the dogs have been transported to the Mat-Su Animal Shelter here in Wasilla, Alaska, where I just came from. The shelter is actually closed today because of this crisis, but they let me in briefly because I came bearing food for the dogs.

If you love dogs -- sled dogs or any other kind of dogs -- please contribute whatever you can to help save these dogs.

There is more information on this story, including how you can help these dogs, in this story at the Anchorage Daily News.
