The Wildflower Cafe in Talkeetna, Alaska is another wonderful restaurant. Years ago I was told the Presidential Chef for George Bush, Sr. was the chef here. I never learned if that was true, but the food is excellent, and the deck is a wonderful way to enjoy the town.

The Talkeetna Mountain Gift Shop is located right next door to the Talkeetna Gift Shop, and is a wonderful place to shop for certain items, including Alaska license plates.

The Talkeetna Kahiltna Bistro is an excellent restaurant, and the huge outdoor deck is a wonderful place to eat.

The Talkeetna K2 Aviation shop is a small shop in downtown Talkeetna. I'm not sure what they actually do, but I assume they're downtown to make it easier for tourists to book airplane flights, as the airport is a short walk out of town.

If you decide to go on a horse ride in Talkeetna, Alaska, there's a 60% chance that these horses will be your riding partners. (There are two other horses in this area, not shown here).

If you're in Talkeetna, Alaska, and you'd love to go for a little horse ride, look no further than Talkeetna Trail Rides, located at the end of the main street, down by the beach entrance. I've never been on a horse in my life, but I always see people taking these horse rides around Talkeetna.
